She explains that when it comes to budgeting, many people make the mistake of thinking that they need to account for every single penny. However, she suggests that a better way to budget is to allot a certain percentage of your income to different expenditures. For example, you might budget 30% of your income for housing, 20% for food, 10% for entertainment, etc.
