Welcome to the Power Couple Show! Larry and I are delighted to have you, our new friends, join us every week.

The Making Mommy Moves Show is for my mamas and mompreneurs specifically, but in this segment, we’re opening up the discussion to both partners. Let’s talk about what keeps relationships alive during the hustle, after becoming parents, and even when enduring the toughest doubts and fears. We’ll also update you on some of the really fun things we plan on doing soon, such as “Double Dating” with us and Power Couple events!

Episode 1 Transcript

Alyssa: Hi, everyone, welcome to the power couple show. This is a fun little segment that we’re doing. My name is Alyssa Morton, this is my husband Larry Morton, and we are so excited that you’re tuning in with us. Every week on Tuesdays, we’re going to come on here and share some different topics about our relationship. Marriage, divorce, sex, mindset, kids, you name it, and just the ways that we’re navigating this thing called life and ultimately growing together. Why don’t you introduce yourself to our people?

Larry: I am Larry. I am husband, and father and entrepreneur. What else? What else.

Alyssa: Mechanic, jack of many trades, perfectionist,

Larry: master of none.

Alyssa: We’ve been together for six and a half years give or take now. We’ve been married for three and a half years give or take now. And we’ve got two beautiful girls. We’ve got several businesses and we figured why not just start this thing? Yeah, so we’re, we’re told a lot by our followers and stuff. They’re inspired by us and how much we take on at a time. We’ve got a floral design business. We’ve got an event strike business where we clean up other floral designer-like events after the event has ended. We go back and we clean up the rentals and we do floral preservation. We’ve started a podcast, we’ve started this podcast, we have the Making Mommy Moves show and now the Power Couple Show.

Larry: And I work full time.

Alyssa: Yeah, two little girls. And we’re just finding our way. He’s starting a YouTube channel all about motorcycles. And we just keep growing. In all the ways we’re creating investments. We’re trying to really break out of our generational curses of the middle class and finding our way through to live a more joyous life and at the end of the day, like to spend as much time as we can with one another including doing this.

Larry: Yeah. Which actually is really fun.

Alyssa: It is, we get to actually sit down and talk to each other and we just turn on the camera and plug in the microphone so that you can hear us talk to ourselves, we like pretty much give ourselves like a little date.

So as far as the Power Couple Show goes. We want to be able to tune in every week and just update you on where we’re going and what we’re doing, trying to share some insight into the things that we do that keep our marriage like alive. And spicy. And well and things like that. And then you know, any kind of questions that you guys have, we’re happy to answer and take you along this journey with us. We’re going to be implementing this thing called “Double Dating” and for anybody that wants to work through some relationship issues or brainstorm, you know, need some coaching level, surround yourself with people like us. We are going to be doing that. So inquire on the website, the link will be in the show notes, and that’ll be really fun to be able to meet up with a lot of you guys.

We want to eventually be hosting retreats where we’re all just power couples trying to level up together, talking about business and life and relationships and everything in between, to what are really cool experiences to bring you guys closer together as a couple like they’ll be a lot of fun. We see a lot of big things in our future.

Yeah, I think that’s pretty good gist of what we got going on. Gonna be doing this a lot. Yeah. If there’s any other power couples out there that want to come on the show, we’d love to have you. We could do it over zoom or in person. Like we’re super excited about all the things that this is going to bring us and we’re excited to have you with us. Very excited. Is there anything else you want to leave our friends with?

Larry: Make sure you tune in because there’s going to be a whole lot of us just rambling in front of the camera and you don’t want to miss it.
